We've discussed the top soccer tryout drills below. Take a look.

This drill requires players competing in a 1v1 to evaluate a variety of soccer skills such as attacking and protecting abilities.

Through this drill, the defenders are anticipated to shut down space quickly as well as to prevent the attackers from moving past them.

This tryout drill involves 2 teams of 8 players each (that is including the goalkeeper) engaging in an 8v8 to goals. The drill uses a smaller pitch and fewer players as opposed to usual soccer matches so that players are able to get additional touches which allows coaches to evaluate their skills much better. Players are unlikely to hide or even play slow in this game setup making it easier for mentors to assess their skills quickly.

This drill involves players dribbling through a series of flags so as to showcase their ability to shift and change directions quickly while dribbling. The evaluation team members is going to evaluate players' abilities including dribbling, speed, agility, and balance.
